SuperStation my foot

I had one of the strangest things in my life happen while watching Everybody Loves Raymond through my eyelids on the couch this afternoon.

While on the out phase of "in and out of sleep", I found myself in a foreign, almost frightening predicament. Lying on my right side, I wanted to pull up the quilt with my left hand because I was chilly. The problem occured when somewhere between my brain and my arm, the message for my hand to move got lost in translation. I say this with the most sober sincerity: I was unable to move my arm. Let me repeat that. I was unable to move my arm. I remember feeling this akward tension in my shoulder like I wanted to move it but it was being defiant like a heifer preparing to get branded. I tried to roll over, but to no profit. My whole body had gone on a sort of sensation sabbatical. I couldn't will my body to move at all.

Now I realize that when I'm half-way awake I have the physical abilities of an asthmatic gerbil, and the mental abilities of an organic Turkish fig, but even with both summoned I was still unable to move. Seriously I think it was the first time I have ever felt this sensation before. I'm probably doing a poor job describing it, but I really don't know how to effectively.

Insert spiritual application here.

Grace and Peace be yours,
luke
