For the Ladies

This post is for any female Blahglievers (...so, mom), or any of my high school friends out there whose prisons allow them web access.

Remember that sewer-rat of a dog we had back in Boulder? Willow Dane Reeves? (Sidenote. I love my brother Josh, who came up with that name. In fact he's my tallest brother. But if there's a name that will basically turn a dog gay, it's "Willow Dane") Remember how we thought he was a mix between a mop and a tumbleweed? It's taken 7 years, but I figured out half of his genetics. He was mostly Bichon Havanese. Have a look:

Now a true Havanese (above) is in the toy group, which Will wasn't. But if Will had a pygmy brother, wouldn't it look just like that?!

Transition

My brother the Sing Song Host helped organize a 68 hour volleyball game this weekend to raise funds for OIF. If you're in Abilene, stop by Moody Colosseum any time to see some action. The game starts today (Friday, April 11) and ends Monday at 11:00am, where Ben will lead singing in Chapel. Bring your camera and a nose plug as Moody will probably smell horrible after 60 guys spend 68 hours inside.

Adios.

You better be here this weekend

If your not planning to see my brother the Sing Song host this weekend, plan again. To get you in the mood, check out ACU's over seas offering. Adios.

Who would have thought?

"I hate this guy. He's making me run down three flights of stairs, just to take out his trash. He's got two legs...and two arms. Although he may not have a brain. I guess it takes a brain to take out the trash. In that case, It's good that I'm here. This guy would live in squalor if it weren't for me- he is in my debt."
-Luke Reeves' thought, circa October, 2003.

I could have never predicted that the object of my momentary hatred would be modeling one day. Check out the Capitan Insano album here.

Television eats souls

Yesterday, in a Lectureship class, I heard an eyebrow-raising quote:
"The death of Christ is not necessary for the forgiveness of sins."-Dr. Mark Love

Transition

Last night found 2025 Lincoln Drive celebrating the first weekly Roommate Night at the Sardine (the name of our house- there are 7 occupants). Congregating in the freshly-cleaned and newly-accessorized living room, we turned off the tv and just spent time together. Seriously, we had a ball. No agenda. We threw darts and talked. It was embarrassing to think of how often we had been in the same room at the same time, but the main reason for congregating was the television. Thanks to Giroshima for cooking a delicious dinner. I look forward to next week.
I also look forward to seeing old friends this weekend for Bid Night. Safe travels everyone.
